Dining out can be expensive, especially with a family - but it doesn't have to be. There are some marvellous meal deals out there, including two for one (buy one meal get one free) and kids eat free (with the purchase of an adult meal).
Hog's Breath also offers free kids meals on Tuesdays; as does Outback Jacks. Two Dollar Taco Tuesday at the Alibi Room (New Farm) is very popular. Choose from chicken, beef, or bean tacos or burritos. To make Tuesday even more terrific, The Alibi Room has introduced $3 ribs and $2 chicken wings. On Twosday Nights at The Brewhouse (Woolloongabba), get two meals for the price of one; from 5.30-8.30pm.
Kids eat free at Outback Jacks on Wednesday as well as Tuesday. Archive Beer Boutique (West End) offers two for one main meals all day and night. Zuri (Fortitude Valley) serves all you can eat sushi for $19 on Wednesdays.
The Exchange Hotel (CBD) has unlimited tacos (bean, beef, or chicken) for a paltry $1, plus the purchase of a beverage. Taco Thursday runs from 5 - 9pm every week. The Pineapple Hotel (Kangaroo Point) provides a two for one meal deal on Thursday, for lunch or dinner.
Kids eat free all day at The Lord Stanley on Sunday. The Fox (South Brisbane) serves up $2 steaks on Super Sunday. Buy one meal, get one free at The International. Or grab a burger and beer at The Alibi Room on Burger Sunday; $8 will buy you a veggie, chicken or beef burger plus a pot of beer or glass of wine.
Every Day Deals
At Wagamama, kids receive a free kids meal (from Mini Noodlers menu) and a fresh juice with the purchase of an adult meal. Kids can also eat free everyday for lunch or dinner at Amici's (South Bank). Govindas (Stones Corner) offers families an affordable dining experience with their all you can eat Vegetarian Indian buffet for $12.50. Kids eat free (0-3), then $4 (3-5), and $6 (6-12).
At Outback Jacks, kids eat free all day, every day during school holidays.
Thanks for all these excellent tips Debra - you've ensured that my family will be eating out more often in the near future that's for sure. And appreciated the shout-out about the Sushi article. Have you been yet? Hope it was everything I cracked it up to be if so.
I hardly need say: Keep up the good work :-)
