Dishes such as Mee Mamak has Indian influences while Nasi Lemak is Malay origin, one of my all time favourites I order at mamak stalls is Maggi Mee Goreng (fried instant noodles), the way they do it is just extra delicious! I was excited when I found Mamak Corner did it. :-D

Hi Kate, thanks for your comment. I am born and raised in Malaysia and mamak is in fact a term used for Indian Muslim and also a certain style of eatery. But yes, the cuisine however is not specifically Indian or Malay food but to me, it's in between because in a mamak stall in Malaysia you get Southern Indian curry influences, naans, roti, tandoori and sambal dishes.
