Chatswood Park

Home > Sydney > Parks | Picnic Spots
Published October 21st 2009
Located at the corner of Albert avenue and Orchard road in Chatswood, Chatswood park is a huge space of land providing the residents of Chatswood a chance to come close to the natural surrounds and green environment.

The park houses a sports oval with stands around, and is actively used by the local district clubs. If you get to the park on weekends you can relax and enjoy a game of cricket perhaps, as the 2 teams battle it out on the field.

The park is spread across 2.6 hectares of land and houses a fenced and shaded playground in the northern end, exercise equipment is present near the northern end of the oval, the south end of the park houses picnic settings and there is a skate park too that is highly popular with the kids.

Activities like school holiday skate sessions are organized to bring the children to the park for a fun day. The park has ample walkways with benches on the sides for people to sit and relax.

Though the park could use some amount of redevelopment and restructuring it still provides the residents a good way to get close to nature and spend an evening under the shade of the trees or just accompany the children as they play in the park.

Since it is located beside the railway track, next time you cross Chatswood be sure to look out of the window to see what game is playing is the sports oval.
