Spring takes off at Chatswood's fashion runway
Out with the old, in with the new - if you are waiting for the right time to have that wardrobe overhaul, wait no more... because this year's Spring / Summer 2016 collection has arrived!

Last Thursday, Chatswood Chase hosted yet another successful Spring / Summer VIP Runway Event, which featured the latest collections from both Australian and international designers.

The event kicked off at 6pm with a private cocktail party next to Williams-Sonoma. There were photographers, a string quartet, champagne (by Joiy - an emerging brand of bottled sparkling wine) and of course a selection of delectable canapés.

The star of the event was undoubtedly The Red Rose Dress, which stood an impressive three and a half metres tall by four metres long. This is the latest masterpiece by acclaimed UK paper artist Zoe Bradley, consisting of nearly 400 hand-sculpted paper roses. The stunning bespoke couture gown is commissioned exclusively by Chatswood Chase Sydney and you can find The Red Rose Dress exhibition on Level 1 (between Williams-Sonoma and Brooks Brothers) until 30 November.

At around 7pm, guests were ushered down to the Centre Court on Lower Ground where the runway show was being held. The host for the night was journalist and Channel Seven presenter, Edwina Bartolomew, who told her story of growing up in Chatswood Chase.

An assortment of new shoes and accessories such as the latest OPSM sunglasses were also showcased, as well as the latest women's fashions from Paris presented by two exciting new retailers to Chatswood Chase Sydney, Maje and Sandro.

What a wonderful event to attend, rujihw. I love THE red rose dress and of course, I've always been a Camilla fan - though a bit out of my budget range nowadays.
