A great day out for those who love fresh water, bush walks, gem and gold fossicking, barbecuing, tenting or just enjoying nature.

Charley Morland Park is situated in Imbil State Forest 7 kilometres south of Kenilworth on Sunday Creek Road. Once you turn into Sunday Creek Road, it's about 5km of unsealed road, accessible in a conventional car though it is a bit rough in places.

When you reach the park, you will find a camping area and day use area which has barbecue and toilet facilities. Park your car and take a short walk down to the river which is beautifully refreshing and filled with gold flakes and a variety of semi precious rocks. You can spend hours sifting through the sand finding different stones.

Enjoy a dip in the beautiful river where you can follow it upstream into beautifully wooded areas flooding with wildlife. Goannas have been seen running through the bush, birdlife is rife.

If you like to fossick this is the ideal spot. Plenty of rocks to check out and of course plenty of gold flakes adorn the river bed.
There is an unpowered camping area but you will need to book in advance as it is a very popular weekend getaway area. Rubbish bins are not provided, so you must take all your rubbish out with you as you leave
