For a good night out
The Charles Hotel is one of Perth's most iconic pubs since the 1970's. It hasn't changed much since then, with only a few minor alterations, but it hasn't lost its popularity.
On any night you will find big crowds in the hotel, especially when they have a big name act booked on a Friday or Saturday night. Some of the greatest rock-n-roll bands have performed here in the 1980's and the Charles still attracts big touring acts.
Every Tuesday The Perth Blues Club has three different acts, including the occasional international guest with several interstate blues performers coming over to Perth, just to perform at this venue. The Perth Blues Club has been at the Charles Hotel since they started over 21 years ago.
Every Wednesday is Funky Bunch Trivia night while on Thursdays The Comedy Lounge brings the best comedy acts to you, including many interstate and international comedians. This night attracts big crowds with standing room only.
There is a good choice on the food menu with reasonable prices. If you come often, it is worthwhile applying for their free loyalty card where every purchase you make earns you points, which can be redeemed later for meals and drinks.
