Cameo Outdoor is the perfect venue to enjoy a night out "at the pictures". Combine this with a great family film and a chance to contribute to a worthwhile organisation that looks after the welfare of dogs and cats and it's a winner all round.
Cameo Outdoor Theatre, surrounded by the Dandenong ranges, provides a summer evening's opportunity to see a film sitting in deck chairs or bean bags (can be hired at venue) with the optional blanket in case of cooler weather. The venue is fully licensed and features a 14m widescreen, headphones, and luscious lawn for picnic blankets.
The film, Red Dog:True Blue is the prequel to Red Dog, the 2011 popular Australian film. This newly released film takes us back to the early events leading up to Red Dog's discovery on the road to Dampier, and his ultimate rise from ordinary dog to Australian legend.
On February 18th, 2017, Save-a-Dog will be having a fun filled night for humans and dogs alike, including the showing of the film. Doors will open at 7pm, there will be a photo booth, raffle, and other activities to enjoy in the lead up to Red Dog: True Blue at 9pm. Save-a-dog Scheme or SADS, is a not-for-profit community-based organisation that saves hundreds of dogs and cats each year by providing vet care and adoption services. You can read some of the happy adoption stories. SADS needs our support to keep providing these services as they rely on generous donations and bequests to keep doing the wonderful job they do.
So here is your chance - go and enjoy a great film and support this organisation at the same time, what better way to feel good in the New Year? Movie tickets are $30 and include an alcoholic beverage or popcorn and a soft drink. All proceeds will go directly to Save-A-Dog Scheme. And your best friend can come too.
