At the age of 16 on the high school sports field Jordyn Archer and her friend realised their talents were not destined for the sports industry. This moment in their life made them question what are we good at and how can we use our talents to impact the community? Together they united with a passion for dance and event management to form a charity concert called
Chant 4 Change . The proceeds of their concert contribute to rescuing children from human trafficking through the non-profit organisation Destiny Rescue. With two concerts under their belt this year's line-up is going to be bigger than ever.
When it comes to performances Chant 4 Change stand by their motto "
expect the un-expected" with this year's concert featuring live performances from
Kelsie Rimmer (as seen on the television show "The Voice"), duo acoustic pop band
Boy & Girl ,
Peter Wilson also known as "The Mime Guy", dancers, circus acts and many more. If you would like to perform in the it's not too late to apply email
[email protected] before the 20 June 2012 for more information.
Last year's concert raised $13,000 for children who experience the effects of human trafficking. With the love and support of the community and Chant 4 Change Dr Robi was able to provide all the children of an African Orphanage a brand new pair of shoes.
This year's goal is to raise $50,000 to contribute towards helping Destiny Rescue build a new rescue home in Bangkok for greater safety when rescuing children. It will also help them to rescue 15 girls from the sex trafficking ring. Destiny Rescue is passionate about making the world a place free from hunger, abuse and poverty.
