There are many wonderful forms of art to enjoy and chalk as a medium is growing in popularity. Chalk artists around the globe are now participating in festivals and what's not to like about these, especially when the images are of the 3D kind with creations that jump out at you. They also provide interaction for the public like the one below.
Chalk the Walk is an art festival produced by Zest Events International that travels many countries and engages artists in competitions with themes and now they're coming to The Entrance this school holidays, so it makes perfect sense to escape the city and head to the Central Coast with the kids for some fun on the waterfront.
Local artists (18yrs & over) are urged to take part in this inaugural event that will see you given the opportunity to attend a 2hr workshop with lead artist Anton, followed by a day to create your own masterpiece for the community. This outdoor museum of chalk art brings further colour and activity to this location where you can also watch the pelican feeding at 3.30pm daily, enjoy amusement rides, live music, grab something to eat in the cafes and restaurants or cool down with a sorbet from an ice cream parlour.
