A really fantastic market with great energy and vibe with it, with such talented artisans/stall holders. There's something for everyone from babies to the older generation and after buying something special and unique you can sit down and eat your BBQ sausage or select a delicious something at theur Cafe and sit and drink a delicious coffee. The last market I absolutely lovvvved this guy's terrariums. He said he'd return for the next market so look out for his work. I saw that the kids get a lolly pop when they arrive and oh yes there's a face painter there as well. I'm going again......we might bump into each other! :-D <<< oh will come out with a smile on your face. It's all good fun and the kids can also play in the huge playground right next door. See you then! :-D

Wow I've just heard that the coming Nov 10th market will be there biggest ever with over 50 plus stalls!
This market is getting bigger and bigger each time they have it.
Word also gets round too for stall holders in as much as its a very good market and it's run well by The Rotarians.

If there's an increase of stall holders then they are sure to be very good to seek out. Not many days to go. I can't wait and I'm sure to find some lovely Christmas gifts to give to friends n family,
Don't miss it. It's fun with warm and inviting friendly energy. Oh....another thought.....when you go why don't you tell them up in entering you saw this in Weekend Notes? That will make them just so happy all round.

3 days to go! It will be a lovely day too. Not too cold, not too hot, not wet although we need rain but a lovely day.
I can't wait to see all the new stalls and don't forget too, there's a very impressive huge playground across from the market and oh yes the library is open too. Thr Rotary club has a great sausage sizzle and the sausages are really yummy. You can sit in their cafe they've created in Phoenix Parks kitchen and when I've been there they have such delicious things to eat as well as those selling yummy cakes and biscuits etc too. For the little girls who want to join Brownies and Girl Guides there is a stall there with lovely ladies to have a chat too. I was both a Brownie and Girl Guide and I learnt just so much plus it's fun and you meet other girls too.
I'm looking forward to seeing the face painting lady and watching her paint the children's faces. Don't they love it too!
Don't forget to bring your children and see the lady at the door for a lolly or lolly pop and don't forget it's $2 donation or more if you wish to donate at the door. All money donated goes to helping very important community projects they are helping with.
BTW have you been recently or are you going to visit the market, on Saturday 10th November?
    Should be great! Can't wait!

Wow! I'm sure I saw people at the Market who read my comment here as the place was very busy from children to their parents to 20 -40 year Olds and onwards. Their stalls continued outside and gosh there was do much to see and such a great array of amazing Christmas things to buy. I was intrigued with the lovely ladies who made these scrumptious cup cakes and had one bought for me. Their macaroons looked fantastic. They're so hard to make. Another young lady made iced Christmas shaped biscuits but they weren't your average kind. Wow they looked sensational and "too good to eat! "
A lovely lady was flat-out selling these very unusal pieces of jewellery.
So much to see and buy. The cafe was very very busy and I saw that we were offered to buy on its own or a meal deal including coffee, a red rose cake. You'd have to see them......they look like real roses! I couldn't resist buying on to taste. Whohhoooo, boy it tasted sensational as the lady heated it up and added a small dob of cream. Yum!
I think I was told they'll have the roses cakes next time.
Looked like it was their biggest marker ever and growing too. A beautiful day there where we could also sit on a seat in the sunshine. Ahhhh bliss!

    Did you go?
Did you buy some fab things and did you see the lady at the front door wearing an awesome yet crazy Christmas, Christmas Tree hat with blinking lights on it too? Talk about a scream but awesome too. Lol...."y'ard hafta larrrfff!"😆

Next on is on February 9th, 2019.....10am till 3pm so I've been told.

Hiiii....just to let you all know that The Market is on again at Phoenix Park Chadstone on Saturday the 9th February 2019 beginning at 10am till 3pm.
I went in November which was their Christmas market and wow it was very well patronized and very busy with just so many fantastic stalls.
I heard there will be the regulars coming but also new exciting kind of stalls too. Their cafe/kitchen I must say sells great food n coffee and what would be a market without a Rotary BBQ? It wouldn't would it?
I've seen that it's not going to be a scorcher of a day but in the mid 20's or maybe a bit more but if this us the case the your kids can also enjoy the fabulous playground they have there too.
But everyone is friendly and you'll find a "treasure" too and something for every age and your pet too.
Lots to see......Oh don't forget to tell the person on the door you saw this post and about The Market. It will be great fun...promise!

Tomorrow will be a sensationally NOT hot day tomorrow which will give us a huge breather to allow us to get out and do something without being drenched in insane heat and humidity.
I read there will be a fabulous mix of stalls including new ones too. So everyone should find something to temp them from dog products to creative things and terrarium s too I hear. But this market has a fantastic cafe they've created inside and of course they have a rotary sausage sizzle too.
It opens at 10am and finishes at 3pm. So there's plenty of time to leisurely walk around and the extra bonus if you have children with you is the enormous playground right there too. Then of couse there's the library which is open too.
All in all it will be a great day and oh BTW there's a gold coin donation upon entering the market. This is to support and help them doing the wonderful community things they busily work at.
Come and support them and bring your friends, kids and neighbour's and say hello to the person at the door who is collecting the donations and tell the person you read it and heard about it in weekend notes. They'll love to hear that!

Oh, Wow, I've just realised the Chadstone/East Malvern Rotary's Makers Market is on again next Saturday, the day before Mothers Day! Lots of things I'm sure could tempt anyone from a new Mum, to your Mum and MIL to Grandma for Mothers Day the next day. I know there is a beautiful card stall and there is a young boy who sells his own beautiful candles. His stunning candles are out of the box to coin a phrase because at the bottom of each of his candles is a huge surprise. Honestly, cross my heart is that any young lady or any lady would go nuts with excitement to find the treasure within. I'm not telling you but cross my heart the receivers will just love his candles.....shhh it's a secret. Come in and find him and discover the secret😀 the Rotary cafe has the most delicious food n coffee from sandwiches, to scones to stunning cakes. The last time I bought these amazing cakes that looked sensational and you could buy some and take them home for mothers day. There is also a cake stall too as well as a pet stall. It's a lovely market that is busy but has great energy too and everyone is happy and smiling. Don't forget there's a fab playground for the kids too 10 steps from the entry door! How close is that!? A gold coin or more is welcomed at the door which then goes to helping with their programmes in helping people. I'm trying to think what I'm going to buy this time and can't wait to see the lady collecting money donations at the front door....she's a real hoot! Hmm I wonder if she's going to wear something silly or fun on her head like at Christmas time......😁
