The is a FREE event for all the family, offering a slightly quirky style of entertainment. In case you are wondering what a stomp festival is - at a stomp festival you kick off your shoes and stomp away! Yes, that's right STOMP on the grapes for a great deal of fun.



You can also enjoy a feast of beautiful food and wine from the Hunter Valley, an assorted range of arts and crafts markets, many different specials from local businesses, an indulgence experience and of course the grape stomping fun.

It will be held on Sunday 28th April 2019 from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. The venue is Vincent Street, Cessnock.



The stomp festival is now in its fourth year and it will again deliver the very best this renowned region has to offer in a one-day festival right in the heart of Cessnock.

There is no other event that actually stops traffic like STOMP does and with more than about 15,000 people attending each year, Cessnock stomp festival is the place to be to sample the best wine, food, fun and stomp grapes.

The 2019 Cessnock stomp festival is presented by the Cessnock Chamber of Commerce with support from Draytons Family Wines and Cessnock City Council Advance Cessnock City.

The festival's vast program will show the diverse skills of the Cessnock community - from wineries, breweries, restaurants and artisans to artists, historians and musicians.

The main part of the festival is the great Cessnock stomp and this is held in the main street of Cessnock. This will be an unforgettable experience so make sure you make the effort to go to this event! It is Cessnock's biggest street party!



[b]How the STOMP works[/b]
Your shoes have been taken off and your pants are rolled up. Now you're ready to step inside the barrel and STOMP! Use your feet by stomping in a frenzy and you will get the grape juice flowing. Then you will fill your jug as full as you can in two minutes.

Tickets for this are limited and sell out every year. Please purchase tickets as a group – each time slot has a maximum of 12 participants. Entry is $25.

This will give you two minutes to stomp the grapes. Come along to the selfie stomp and take a selfie while taking a casual stomp of some of the juiciest Draytons Grapes you will find!

Entry is only $2 and tickets are not required for this area. Payment is to be made on the day at the selfie stomp location.




In this VIP experience, you will chill out and enjoy tasting six different blends of wine and learn about the origin of grapes. You will also learn how they are different and how it all comes together.

This is to find out which business has the best stompers in the country. It will all be decided at this years Cessnock stomp festival!

Cessnock stomp festival Business V Business challenge will take place on the 28th April. Local businesses will go head to head stomping for the championship trophy.

[b]Food and wine[/b]
There will be a wide choice of Hunter Restaurants at the Cessnock stomp festival. There will naturally be great wines in the Hunter Valley region. Also there is heaps of fresh local produce and some very talented chefs in this region.



There will be all types of food from casual to fine dining.
