CERES Harvest Festival spells a celebration and of giving thanks to this good earth we live on, to our farmers and the cycle of the seasons. Get your TICKETS to the CERES Community Environment Park, Cnr Stewart and Roberts Streets, Brunswick East for Saturday 28 March 2020 from 10am to 3pm. It's $5 pre-sales for Adults and $7 at the gate. Kids go FREE. Proceeds from tickets help CERES to continue working with the community for the Earth. These tickets booked through Humanitix means the booking fee goes towards helping Indigenous literacy programs, so go ahead and get your tickets online.
Thousands of people flock to the Autumn Festival to experience the true feeling of community, and of caring and loving the earth in the essence of togetherness. Every single corner of the 4.5 hectares will be alive with colour, flavour and life. Stay updated via the Facebook page.
The Giant Veg and Scarecrow Making Competitions make a comeback, plus there are FREE workshops, classes and talks. Kid's have activities on-site with animal displays, live music, food stalls, coffee, makers and flea market, multicultural activities and more to enjoy. Bring your scarecrow all dressed and ready for the day, or get creative with bits and bobs at the event. There is a prize going for best dressed!
If you're one of the creatives and want to be involved as a stall-holder, stilt-walker or face-painter, spots are still available for all of the aforementioned and more. Just get in touch via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or send through an APPLICATION. For those with those OH-SO-LARGE vegetables, take note that the VEGETABLE GROWING COMPETITION incurs a $5 Fee required on the day to enter the comp. Winners will be grinners with some great prizes available. The three categories are for the LONGEST bottle/snake gourd, BIGGEST pumpkin (circumference), and MOST UNUSUAL shaped vegetable.
