The CERES Environment Park 's (Corner Roberts and Stewart Streets, Brunswick East) School of Nature and Climate courses and workshops for 2021 have been launched and are now open for bookings. It offers over 100 programs to connect you with the earth. Browse all CERES workshops and courses for 2021 here .

The gates of the learning community are now open to get learners' hands back in the dirt and their feet firmly on Wurundjeri land learning to love the earth. If not for yourself, you can get a gift voucher for someone who loves the land, for Christmas. Vouchers can be redeemed at CERES Grocery, Nursery, Merri Cafe, Visitor Centre or for Workshops & Courses. Please note: Vouchers are not available for online or in-person purchase after 5pm on Christmas Eve. Find out more about the school here .


You'll find courses in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter and other Accredited Courses; Courses that Change the System; Deep Learning; In the Garden; In the Kitchen; Making and Repairing; Nature and Food Systems; Online Courses; People and Community; Short courses and Subsidised Courses. Your short courses are more for the hobbyist with workshops on Ancient Basketry, Beeswax Wraps, Braided Rugs, DIY Mushrooms, Edible Weeds and so on. Some of the courses cross over to the Making and Repairing courses. The Subsidised Courses are for those wanting to learn about being the Complete Urban Farmer; or learn about Circular Economy and Zero Waste; Environmental Education; Intro to Green Roofs and Green Walls; Intro to Therapeutic Horticulture; Landscape Restoration and Indigenous Ecology and Sustainable Gardening.

In the Kitchen courses are your cooking classes from how to make Feta, Haloumi, Mozzarella, Parmesan and Soft Goat Cheesemaking to Sourdough Bread Baking and Home Brewing and Preserving the Season's Harvest and more. In the Garden courses are self-explanatory; from backyard bee keeping to all things gardening, including growing and cooking with bushfoods. There are definitely a lot of courses to choose from that teaches us all about nature and mother earth.

Before you head down to the farm, be sure to check out the festive opening hours here . The CERES Nursery and CERES Organic Market & Grocery are open Christmas Eve and will close until the Monday 4th January. The Visitor Centre will close on 23rd December, back open on the 4th too.
