What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than singing or listening to beautiful Christmas carols?
In its centenary year, St Brigid's Church at Red Hill will be spreading the Christmas spirit at its Ceremony of Carols. With amazing acoustics, the choir and organ will fill the church with beautiful singing and music.
The evening will begin with the church lit only by candlelight. The choir will perform an arrangement of carols and also lead those attending in singing some of those well-loved and well known carols. The carols will be interspersed with readings. A special treat this year will be a performance of "Fantasia on Greensleeves" by the string ensemble and harp.
Following the ceremony, there will be supper and live music to enjoy. The church is raising funds for the Jubilee Parish Refugee Support Group and also funds to support the music at St Brigid's. There will be an opportunity to give for those who wish to do so.
Parking will be available in the church grounds, accessed by Musgrave Road. This will be a lovely evening, guaranteed to fill you with the Christmas spirit, so come along and enjoy St Brigid's Ceremony of Carols.
