St Brigid's Church at Red Hill will again hold its annual Ceremony of Candles, an event that is sure to bring the Christmas spirit to all who attend.

This beautiful traditional candle-lit service takes full advantage of the amazing acoustics of St Brigid's, where the interior will fill with the sounds of carols and music. The ceremony will begin with flickering candlelight only, as a single voice fills the church with "Once in Royal David's City". During the service, St Brigid's Choir will perform (accompanied by the grand pipe organ) and harpist, Esther Adeney will perform "Silent Night" on the Celtic harp. The String Ensemble will perform "Fantasia on Greensleeves" and the first movement of Corelli's Christmas Concerto. This unique service will also include readings that will capture the Christmas spirit and the true meaning of Christmas.

Following the ceremony, a free supper and live music will be provided, with a gold coin donation being asked for wine. Funds raised will support the Jubilee Parish Refugee Support Group and the music at St Brigid's. There will be an opportunity to give if you wish to donate.

Arrive early to secure a park in the church yard or utilize street parking in Cambridge Street.
