Situated near the Pasar Seni MRT/LRT Station is a building with significant historical value. Central Market was built as a wet market in 1888. However, it has come a long way from its beginnings, and now offers visitors a unique retail and heritage experience. There are heaps of local handicrafts, textiles, souvenirs, collectables and snacks as well as a variety of eclectic art galleries such as Illusion 3D Art Museum and Art House Gallery . The Malaysian heritage and architecture is evident.

Besides culture, art and craft, you'll also find a grocery store on the ground floor. Pasar Besar showcases the distinctive flavours of Malaysia. Food and beverage options are in abundance too especially on the mezzanine floor and along Kasturi Walk. The centre is hugely popular among both international and domestic tourists.
