The Urban Asian Grocery

Central Grocery is a kind of Asian supermarket conveniently located inside Melbourne Central, directly opposite the main train station exit.

This place is generally heaps less crowded than Coles next door and has heaps more interesting food – yes, like Wasabi peas, shrimp sauce, and strange herbal thingies, but more importantly: like iced mocha in a can.

Central Grocery is actually jam-packed full of stuff, mostly snack related – like chips, chocolates, drinks, and these awesome Suppanda soft lemon lollies. (You're unlikely to accidentally buy something healthy here.)

If you're in need of a snack but your train leaves in 4 minutes – you'll probably get served here before anywhere else.

Prices are fair, but don't seem as cheap as those in Yahweh in Carlton.

I've set myself a challenge to buy all the ingredients for a dinner here. Wish me luck!
