Wine straight from the vine
If you are in Bowral for any reason, and wine tasting is as good as any, then do not miss the lovely Centennial Vineyards, just a short drive from central Bowral. The Vineyards are beautifully lined with daffodils and pleasant plants. The Vineyards are beautiful even in the chilly southern highlands weather.
The wine tasting is a fantastic way to spend a good portion of your afternoon. The estate is spacious and you could wander around for hours in the peaceful rural setting. Life is good here; add some fine wine, cheese and good company and you have it made.
You can buy many varieties and vintages of their very own fine wine here. After tasting the many on offer, you may feel at little spoilt for choice. They offer local honey and jams too, which make a great gift for little ones or those who don't drink. For those who do, you can't go past a good red. The Bong Bong Late Harvest 2014 is fantastic with some aged cheese and crackers.
In the restaurant, they serve an indulgent Bomb Alaska and Coffee Martini too. So if you are planning a trip to the southern highlands, don't go past Centennial Vineyards.
