It's FREE to explore Centenary Lakes
Centenary Lakes at Caboolture is a popular place, and there are already two articles on Weekend Notes about the venue!
It is a great complex with a collection of sporting clubs (currently the rugby fields are undergoing some upgrading) but the park itself has lots to offer for all. There are walking and cycling tracks, plenty of exercise equipment. It is a great venue for picnics, weddings and just exploring the gardens.
Listing of Sports Clubs
There are moorhens, ducks, geese, ibis and other birds and children love to feed them bread. Just watch the geese in breeding season are sometimes a little cranky.
Residents of the Park
Early mornings there are many folk who walk around the park or take advantage of the many exercise machines dotted around the lake.
Along the pathway
It is the venue for major events from time – so keep a look out on the Moreton Bay Regional Council website. Do visit and explore the huge grounds and let the children explore the sun protected playground.
