International musical sensation and 2017 Grammy Nominee, Celtic Woman will return to Australia with their brand new tour, Voices of Angels.
The tour showcases the angelic voices of Susan McFadden, Mairead Carlin, Eabha McMahon and introduces the breathtaking new Celtic violinist, Tara McNeil. Accompanied by a talented group of musicians and dancers, the world-class performing collective celebrates Ireland's rich music and cultural heritage, bringing a fresh fusion to centuries of musical and cultural tradition.
Celtic Woman has sold more than 10 million CDs and DVDs worldwide, making it the only all-female act to achieve multi-platinum success in the classical crossover and world music genres during the past decade. They have been named Billboard's number 1 World Music Artist of the Year six times and each of their 11 CDs (including Voices of Angels) has debuted at number 1 on Billboard's World Album chart!
Celtic Woman has also scored two Top 10 debuts on Billboard's influential album chart and five Top Five DVD's on Billboard's Top Video chart, as well as achieving platinum-level sales in nine countries.
HISTORY OF CELTIC WOMEN
Celtic Woman is an all-female Irish musical ensemble conceived and created by David Kavanagh, Sharon Browne and David Downes, a former musical director of the Irish stage show Riverdance.
Celtic Woman is comprised of four young Irish women dynamic vocalist Susan McFadden, Mairéad Carlin, Éabha McMahon and violinist Tara McNeill
In concert, their angelic voices and instrumental virtuosity are accompanied by a robust ensemble that includes Irish dancers, bagpipers and a full band playing an array of traditional Celtic instruments, including bodhran, tin whistle, bouzouki and Uileann pipes.
