Wine and food lovers rejoice, #up ">Cellar Door Fest is back for 2018. From March 2nd – 4th the Adelaide Convention Centre will play host to over 180 wineries, food producers, breweries and distilleries from across South Australia in a weekend that is sure to tantalise everyone's tastebuds.

Start your weekend off at Cellar Door Fest's 'Friday Knock Offs' on the 2nd March from 5-9pm. You can purchase a special 'Friday Knock Offs' ticket for $60 which gets you entry to the festival for two people plus a bottle of lush wine from Islander Estate Vineyards . It's the perfect way to kick start your weekend.

For the party animals out there you can kick on with some vino, a platter and some tunes at the official Friday night after party, 'Booze, Food and Dancing Shoes' from 8pm until midnight.

The action ramps up again on Saturday and Sunday with doors open and wine flowing from 11am – 6pm both days. For wine lovers, the Cellar Door Fest will have you feeling like Charlie in the chocolate factory as you sample your way through 17 fantastic South Australian regions all under the one roof.

There is also an exciting program of fun experiences to discover with long table dining , masterclasses , demos, special tastings and DIY workshops a plenty. There really is something for everyone with wine, beer, gin, cheese, whiskey and more all showcased in a number of exclusive ticketed events. Long table dining experiences range in price from $45 - $55 so they are pretty affordable as far as long table dining events go. You will need to #up ">pre-book these experiences as they will sell out fast.

If you miss the boat on the ticketed events then don't fret, there are plenty of fun, free experiences to discover while you're there, such as the Tomich Wines Varietal Tastings and the Flavours of the Fest Demo Stage . You can even get down and dirty with some grape stomping at the Urban Winery Project Stand.

As a Cellar Door Fest veteran I'm going to give you some solid advice. Don't try to get through every tasting that every winery, brewery and distillery has to offer in one day. It will not end well. Pace yourself, drink lots of water from the free water stations and consider visiting the Festival over a couple of days. Sunday is often the quieter day to visit which gives you the opportunity to chat with wine makers and producers and learn about the wines in a way that isn't necessarily possible through the crowds at the Friday and Saturday sessions.

Unless you're just there to smell the wine then you will definitely want to leave the car at home for this day out. Thankfully the Adelaide Convention Centre is conveniently located on North Terrace in the city which means there are plenty of easy transport options to get you there and home safely. Check out the Adelaide Metro website for bus, train and tram options.

General admission for Friday night (sans bottle of wine from Islander Estate) is just $26 per person if you book online or $28 at the door. General Admission on Saturday or Sunday is $38 online or $40 on the door. For more ticketing information check out the #up ">website .

So rally your squad and head along to to discover your new favourite drop, or enjoy a cheeky splash of some old faithfuls at the biggest and most accessible wine event of the year.
