Every small town needs a general store, a place for provisions and maybe something more. Red Hill is truly blessed to have the which has provisions of any kind imaginable and much much more.

The Mornington Peninsula is a popular foodies' destination but if time is precious or you're just a cheat, then Cellar and Pantry is for you. Here you can sample the best the Mornington Peninsula has to offer and be off to the holiday house before lunchtime. Light the fire, watch the ocean and life will struggle to get sweeter.

The deli section as you enter is a cornucopia of produce that would make the most ardent foodie weep. Cheese, bread, meat and other produce that would line the best providore is yours for the taking – at Mornington Peninsula prices of course.
Cellar and Pantry also has a large selection of Mornington Peninsula wines at standard prices so you can grab your Red Hill Estate Shiraz and Ten Minutes by Tractor Pinot and be on your way.

As a general store there does have to be some level of practicality, so as well as your gourmet selection you can also walk out with the essentials and staples: toilet paper, deodorant, detergent, party pies, Tim Tams, microwave popcorn, it's all here. Cellar and Pantry, much like the Mornington Peninsula itself, caters to all types.

The latest addition to Cellar and Pantry is the Arc Cafe which offers gourmet meals with produce all available inside. A New York Style sandwich of salami and cheese is just the thing for a lazy brunch and, being New York Style, you'll be adequately fed for a good 24 hours. Seating is well placed at the entrance so shoppers can peruse the selections as they come and go, words can be exchanged and village life hums along at Cellar and Pantry. No need to retire to the beach house, one can stay here all day sampling the wares.

One thing Cellar and Pantry does not provide, however, is bags. No plastic wanders these hallowed halls. In a tip of the hat to sustainability, they request that you bring your own, or if you haven't, you can purchase one of their canvas tote bags, big enough to accommodate some Misty Valley Goats Brie, a few bottles of Montalto, a baguette and some prosciutto. Better use of canvas has not been made since the days of Rembrandt.

So what are you waiting for? With Peninsula Link Red Hill is barely an hour from the city so there's no excuse to not pay Cellar and Pantry a visit.

Cellar and Pantry is open daily from 730 am - 730 pm at 141 Shoreham Road, Red Hill South. Ph: 03 5989 2411
