STAR Community Services is an award-winning, not-for-profit organisation providing NDIS, Aged Care and Community transport services. They currently service several areas across the South East Corner of Queensland, including the Redlands.
On Saturday, 22nd of May, STAR Community Services, in conjunction with Volunteering Redlands, is presenting a Celebration of Volunteers to coincide with National Volunteers Week at the Raby Bay Harbour Park, Cleveland, next to the Railway Station.
This family-orientated event commences at 2:00 pm and finishes at 7:00pm and includes lots of fun, free entertainment including:
2.00pm Open & Redland City Band Trio con Brio
2.30pm Quandamooka Welcome to Country and Official Opening
3.00pm Volunteer of the Year Awards
3.30pm Cleveland State Primary School Choir
3.50pm Redland City Ukuleles
4.20pm Rockit Productions
4.45pm Melly and the Madmen (1920-1940s music)
5.30pm Aaron & Adele
5.50pm Melly and the Madmen (set 2)
6.45pm Laser Display by Mr Fireworks
You will also have the opportunity to :
• cheer on the winners of the Volunteer of the Year Awards 2020-21
• explore the best volunteering opportunities in your local area and join the ever-growing community of volunteers!
Food vans and children's rides will also be on-site to keep the Little People enthralled.
Without a doubt, the Redlands is a better place because of the time and energy that volunteers devote to our community. Let's celebrate them and perhaps consider joining them.
