The event will take place on 16th September 2018, from 11.00 am until 2.00 pm.
This celebration is the annual Celebrate Lake Claremont community event. This is a free event and will be a fun morning for the whole family including children's activities and great sustainability tips.
Here you will be able to learn about the wonderful world of the all-important native bees in the bee workshop.
Children can make their own creative wood creation with The Joy of Wood. The Joy of Wood provides opportunities for people of all ages to learn to work with wood.
There will be a workshop teaching you all about worm farms and how to successfully manage these. This is not difficult and there are several things you need to know about these worms before you attempt a farm.
If you bring any broken items such as bikes, toys, small household items and clothing, the Repair Lab volunteers will repair them while you wait! Please - no electrical items.
An unusual idea at this event is the "Buy Nothing" tent. Here you can bring your unwanted household items (in good condition only), or pick up something special from here for yourself. Items that can be brought here are books, boy, games clothes and kitchen items.
There will be a lot more going on at this exciting morning at the Stirling Road entrance to Lake Claremont.
This is a plastic free event - you can bring your own drink bottles which can be filled up at the refillable drink stations. Please also bring a reusable coffee cup to use at the coffee cart.
This is a FREE event in order to celebrate everything that Lake Claremont has to offer its residents and neighbours. Make sure you bring your family and friends!
