So here we are. 2015. In fact, it's almost October 21, 2015. And why does this mean anything? Well, if you are a Back to the Future fan like I am (although fan doesn't seem like a strong enough word to describe my love for this movie franchise but let's continue, this is not about me!) you'll know that this is the date that Dr Emmett Brown takes Marty McFly, back to the future!
2015 is not only the future that the movie envisioned but it also marks the 30th anniversary of the original movie. And it is your density, er I mean destiny to celebrate this event, below is a few ideas to get you on your way.
ScreenUsed and Online 'Back to the Future' 30th Anniversary Celebration Auction
According to the website, "this is the biggest Back to the Future memorabilia auction in history!" It certainly is the most exciting.
Imagine owning actual props from the movies, like the Mattel Hover board, the barcode license plate, Doc's future binoculars or what about that Grays Sports Almanac that gets Marty into so much trouble? Now that would get conversation flowing at your next shindig!
The Props, Wardrobe and Production items auction is on now and ends in a live auction on October 24th at one of the sites from the first movie, the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance, where you will see some of the actors from the movies if you can get yourself to California in time… hmm, where did I put my hover board?
The second auction is online only with over 2000 'Vintage Merchandise and Memorabilia' items up for grabs. Ends October 31st, so get bidding! Plus a portion of the proceeds go to Michael J Fox's Foundation for Parkinson's Research. You can also get more information about Parkinson's and donate here: https://www.michaeljfox.org

Head to a Cinema Screening
Event cinemas is helping us celebrate by showing Back to the Future Part II on the big screen. So grab a bag of popcorn and a pepsi free and settle in to relive the future, or the present? Or the past? "Whoa, this is heavy"!
At the time of writing, times are still being confirmed, make sure you check regularly so you can get your tickets. I'm predicting that they will sell out quicker than tickets to see 'Jaws 19'!.
