Be prepared, it is yet another article about shisha!
As mentioned in my very
first article - I love shisha. As a leisure and social activity, for the past four to five years it has never failed to be enjoyable and relaxing.
I am aware that I was raving about Little Lebanon previously, but I can finally admit that I have moved on from there, to a little place called Cedar Cafe.
Cedar Cafe for me exceeds what
Little Lebanon Cafe can offer me in two ways. Not that I am completely giving up on
Little Leb , I just felt like we out grew each other.
Cedar Cafe is the only good shisha cafe that is south of the river. This mean it only takes me 10 to 15 minutes to get there.
It is winter so I understand that the last thing anyone wants to do is hang out outside. However, I can assure you that unlike
Little Lebanon , it is well covered, with heaters and you can drink a warm coffee or tea outside with your shisha.
When it comes to the actual shisha, it is just as good. My favourite flavour still has to be watermelon and mint. But, if you do decide to go ask for their list, they range from peach to orange to bubblegum.
Just a little flavour guide for you; I add mint to any flavour to make it less harsh but I don't think you need it.
Traditionally people have apple or double apple. I never ever used to like it, I thought it tasted like liquorice- but now I really do enjoy it. Avoid lemon/lemon and mint because the one time I tried it it tasted like washing detergent. But, as you may have realised I have weird taste buds.
If you're new to the shisha game, then try it all!
They also offer a range of food there from Middle Eastern Cuisines to typical cafe meals, desserts (which as fantastic) smoothies and more! I haven't eaten a lot there but my friend was raving about the Lamb Kebab- maybe if you go there you could try the food and let me know how it is!
If you're looking to try something new (and legal) then I really recommend you try Cedar's. The ladies that serve you are beautiful and friendly and anyone is welcome there.
You'll probably see me there more often than not.
