Not all beaches are the same and this is particularly true when you visit Caves Beach at Swansea, near the Central Coast.
People enjoying the beach
You have the beach with the ever ending views of the mystery of the ocean waters and on the other side, you have the views of the cliffs with hidden caves that captivate you. Then all of a sudden, when you look out for a closer inspection of the caves, you spot a mystery statuette of a person in a cape keeping an eye out to the ocean...
Natural carved statue of a person with a cape; is he protecting the ocean or cursing it?
It is true what they say when it comes to the ocean's mystery; at Caves Beach the mystery lurks within your mind as you walk along the beach then climb up towards the hills to look over to the cliffs to spot out the caves hidden away.
When the tide is low, you can experience the wonders of the caves that are located on the south side of the beach- the kids will love this! You can also kayak here and find your way to the caves; this should be done at low tide for safety.
You can spot out the different hues of the ocean that are so mesmerising; at different times of the day the ocean colours change, especially on the southern side where the cliffs lay.
There are plenty of parking and BBQ / picnic areas.
This is a truly an amazing weekend trip to do. The beach is located in the town of Swansea which is a sleepy and pretty town. A lot of shops and cafes close early so make sure you fill up on food early in the day.
