Caversham Wildlife Parkis located in the Whiteman Park recreation and conservation reserve, a short 25 minute drive from the Perth CBD. The park is run by a West Australian family and is home to a range of native Australian animals.
The park is a special and unique place for West Australia as it offers an interactive, clean and well maintained environment. You have the chance to get up very close to most of the animals in the park.
Inside the park is a walk through a kangaroo environment where all visitors can wander around take photos, feed and carefully pat these marsupials. The kangaroos are fairly friendly and they hop around from one end to another, they also laze around in the hot weather.
The kangaroo is a native Australian animal that lives in the 'outback' of Australia. They are strong animals with powerful legs and tails. When you visit the park and get up close to this majestic animal you can see just how strong they are.
There is more than just kangaroos to see at the park and that includes native birds, koalas, llamas, donkeys, dingoes, possums, bats, wombats, owls and emus. There are daily shows and an interactive farm yard for kids to see.
In the way of facilities there is a kiosk, shaded picnic area and a souvenir shop. The souvenir shop is pretty impressive with a mix of china made and Australian made products, catering for all budgets.
