This is the week that I must have been in artisan baking heaven. This heavenly week started with a high quality artisan baking class at Brasserie Bread at South Melbourne, and then the next minute I receive an e-mail from one of my closest girfriends who suggested we catch up at Cavallini's at Clifton Hill for lunch last Friday. And so we did.

This establishment is a little European cafe/bakery that is so appropriate and popular for the area. It felt a little squishy at first, yet everything is so delightful. You would want to try all of their samples without any hesitation and their macarons stood out as a plea to eat me. You need to be prepared as this is a cash only establishment.

[ADVERT]I was hungry. The turkey, brie and cranberry sauce baguette for $8.90 a pop got my tastebuds on a frenzy, and after eating only half the baguette I was extremely full. The latte wasn't too bad. You have one moment to blink your eyes and then everything (food and drinks) all comes out to you in a flash. They are quick as when it comes to service delivery.

Great conversations with great company, and it is 2pm before you even know it and the lunch is suddenly over. My friends quiche and salad was also quite appetising.

There are many other establishments in the area that have a bit more of an ambience of space, yet for quality food, I will come back to Cavallini's for more and more. I so love artisan breads.
