Ah, Victor Harbor - what's not to love about a day out in Victor.

There's Granite Island and it's famous
horse-drawn tram. The beaches, playgrounds, penguins, whaling, history and the old steam train rides on Australia's first-ever passenger railway line.
Yep, Victor really does have it all.
So, when choosing a great place to stop for something to eat and drink while there, the obvious and most highly rated choice would be the recently refurbished
Causeway Cafe.

The Causeway Cafe is located at Number 1, The Esplanade - you seriously cannot get a better tourist location. From there, you have easy access to most everything in Victor. Across the road is the Horse Drawn Tram and Warland Reserve and the start of the Granite Island Causeway is within metres of the cafe's front door.
Matt and Kieran are the new owners who have worked hard to bring a fresh and welcoming new look to this iconic cafe. Their philosophy is that they "
are passionate about coffee, food and chats."
They are young and enthusiastic and have boundless energy and ideas. A look around their
website shows that there are some unique and exciting things happening here.

If you're feeling fit, get onto the
blackboard of fame in the "Granite Island Challenge" and score a free coffee, or come down and chill by the sea and listen to local music at one of their Sunday Sessions. Coming soon is a Scavenger Hunt for the kids and more - the Causeway will continue to evolve and fun things and good food will follow.
The food is good quality - fresh and cooked to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our seafood basket for lunch and found that the price and quality were amazing - it is highly recommended that you try it for yourself.
The Cafe is licenced too, so why not have a glass of local wine with your lunch? There's a great selection of wines on the shelf and if wine isn't your thing, then the coffee has to be. Great coffee in big cups. Hot and expertly brewed.

If you're looking for some tourist information, the
Visitor Information Centre is under the same roof as the cafe, as is the
Dunes Mini Golf Park. The biggest carpark in the Victor Harbor area is conveniently right next door.
Victor Harbor has been a playground for South Australian families since the 1880s. There's so much to do - the area has absolutely everything that you could want from a holiday. It's an easy drive from Adelaide and is fun for everyone. If you're in Victor, you need to make a stop at the Causeway Cafe.
The cafe is open 7 days a week, from 8am to 5pm.
