Cat Sick Blues is crazy, sick, twisted, even sometimes hilarious and by far the most "different" horror film I have ever seen!

It mainly follows the lives of 2 very different people; Claire Ellis (Played by Shian Donovan), who is stricken with grief after her internet famous cat was accidentally killed by a very creepy and rather dangerous fan who came to her house one day and Ted Henson (Played by Matthew C. Vaughan), who is trying to bring his dead cat back to life by taking the lives of 9 humans, whilst dressed as the "Catman" with the use of a large black cat mask, razor sharp claws and yes, a gigantic strap-on cat penis!

This is definitely not a film for everyone and some scenes are hard to watch, as there are trigger warnings for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse, however this is one film that, although confronting, will take its viewers on a crazy roller-coaster ride through just about every emotion known to man.

The film was made entirely in Australia and started its life as a short, which was funded through a campaign on Kickstarter to be upgraded into a feature, with stunning results, that really show through the amazing work from all the actors and extras on screen, the directing by the very talented Dave Jackson, who co-wrote the wonderful, yet bizarre script with the skilful Andrew Gallacher, as well as all the work done by the rest of the team. You can really see how much passion and effort went into it.

I personally loved this film and have been raving about it to all my friends. The plot twist, after plot twist kept me engaged and on the edge of my seat, while not one character seemed to be one dimensional. Even when I wanted to hate some of them, witnessing their demise, left me with an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I also hope that someday I will be able to purchase a figure of the unforgettable Catman himself, to add to my shelf of horror memorabilia.

Cat Sick Blues is a must see film, if not for the horror genre, purely for the absolutely unique journey it will take you on, which currently, no other film in existence will compare to.

Cat Sick Blues is not yet classified, but is recommended to an adult 18 and up audience.

10/10
