The main pool
The main pool has hydro-lift for all-abilities access and some shade cloth cover one end of the main pool. The depths at each end of the main pool is 1.2m deep and 2m deep in the middle. There are racing start blocks at each end of the main pool. The depth of the learn-to-swim pool is 0.3m at the shallow end and 1-metre depth in the middle. Both learn-to-swim pool and toddlers' pool are shaded. This outdoor pool is not heated and the toddlers' pool is closed during the Dry Season.
Surrounded by a well maintained green lawn, Casuarina Swimming Pool is a home for 3 swimming clubs; Casuarina Storm Swimming Club, Darwin Swimming Club and Darwin Masters.
Basketball half court
Other facilities that you can find here is a small children's playground, basketball half court, aqua classes, BBQ and picnic facilities. There aren't many seating areas, so you need to bring your own picnic chair or picnic rug. There is also ramp access and accessible toilets.
The most challenging thing at Casuarina Swimming Pool is the Challenger Pool Toy. It's an inflatable pool toy with lots of obstacles to tackle. It operates a public session each Saturday from 1.00pm to 3.00pm and throughout the school holidays (weather permitting) for children aged 4 - 14yrs.
