Casuarina Square just unveiled their new food court on Saturday 9 September 2017 with a "One Day Shopping Festival" event. This $8.7 million upgrade of the shopping centre's food court includes a fresh layout, furniture, a large digital screen and a children's playground.

Casuarina Square already has an outdoor children's playground and water play area at The Quarter, located on the second level of this shopping mall. The new children's playground in the food court area is a bright green colour and puts a fresh ambience onto the surrounding area.

The playground has some play areas for little one, such as a giant tomato, two big watermelons and a massive caterpillar. It also has two "finger-trace-mazes" at the corner of the playground. The big hit of this playground is the green apple climbing frame that leads to spiral shape slippery slides. This play equipment is definitely for bigger children.

One thing that concerns me is the fence around the playground as little children can climb out or open the gate themselves and run away from the playground. Other than that, this new playground can give extra space and time for parents or carers if they want to have a bite without getting interruptions from their little muchkins.
