Have the big conversations
The chance to engage with a range of real-life characters, people and stories who are all navigating life's challenges is here in the form of the Castlemaine Documentary Film Festival. At the Theatre Royal in Castlemaine, you can see twelve films over three days and engage with the filmmakers, either in persona or via skype Q&A sessions.

Bob Brown
Bob Brown

As if that is not enough, opening the festival will be Bob Brown, the passionate environmental activist who has been bringing society's attention to the important issues for decades. This is a rare chance to see him onstage in Castlemaine. He'll be speaking about the youth activist movement and the climate crisis.

Robyn Davidson
Robyn Davidson

Also, Robyn Davidson will be attending and talking about her film, The Ponds. Robyn is also the author of Tracks, a text which many Victorian VCE students are working on this year. This is a great opportunity to meet her in the flesh.

Richard Flanagan
Richard Flanagan

Richard Flanagan, one of Australia's finest writers, is an engaging speaker who cares deeply about the state of the earth and the people who live upon it. His ability to pare the political issues down to basic human rights will have you weeping, then jumping out of your chair to make a difference. Don't miss your chance to be in the presence of this thoughtful and empathetic man.

The Castlemaine Documentary Film Festival is sure to draw crowds. Grab your tickets now!
