Time to whet the whistle

In regards to all things alcoholic: if you name it, Castle Glen has probably got it. Their colourful shopfront is testament to this. You will come across liqueurs, crème liqueurs, red wine, white wine, fortified wine, boutique beers, sparkling wine, spirits, and fruit brandies.

The cellar door is aesthetically pleasing as each beverage appears to be in a different type of glass bottle. There are tall bottles, short bottles, fat bottles, skinny bottles, smooth bottles and textured bottles. There are some seriously unusual flavour liqueurs too, everything from jellybean to lavender. Some of the alcohol even has gold leaf floating about in it, how decadent!

Liqueurs
All of the liqueurs are preservative and chemical free. The crème liqueurs have a special recipe that is actually a world first, they have no dairy, no fat and no egg. They are al natural and they don't need to be refrigerated.

Beers
These boutique beers are quite special, and they also come in some unusual flavours. Strut up to the bar in the cellar door and whet your whistle with these beers: chardonnay, chocolate, ales, lagers, and ginger.

Fruit Brandies
The fruit brandies are made using local Stanthorpe fruit and come in a massive variety of flavours.

Spirits
Castle Glen are the only distillery in QLD and they make a unique whiskey that has no added caramel, flavourings or additives.

A great place to stop off on a tour, and there are heaps of places in the surrounding area that will keep you busy; hot nuts, fudge, cafes, gourmet food shops, jewellery and clothes boutiques, and wineries. Just remember to drink responsibly and make sure that you have a designated driver. You may come away feeling a little bit tipsy!
