Save all the princesses
Hello ladies and gentlemen, this review will be quite short since this is also a short game to play, but it is so much fun. Castle Crashers has to be one of my favourite games to play with friends and family. Castle Crashers is a 2D beat 'em up game developed by The Behemoth and published by Microsoft Game Studios. The amazingly great music in this game was created by members of Newgrounds. Available for Xbox 360, PS3 and steam on the PC.

Set in a fictional medieval universe, you start off in a castle where you are having a party as you can see your character dancing around. Suddenly a knight gets knocked through the doors to the room that you are in and the music stops. Then you can talk to some NPC's to give you tips about the game. Once you go through the broken door, you then get a cut scene of the king being attacked my an evil wizard who steals the giant crystal from behind the kings throne. The wizard then flies off whilst kidnapping four princesses. The king then orders you to go and take back the crystal and the four princesses.

When you first play the game you can pick from four different knights, Red, Blue, Green and Orange. All with different magic attacks, such as thunder, poison, fire and ice. As you battle through various levels you can come across new weapons, enemies and animals. Animals give you a boost to your knight. Being a 1-4 player game each of the players can have an animal, however if you have all started over you cannot have the same animal in that player's campaign.

As you battle and fight your way through levels, your knight will level up giving you points to add on to your knight, such as attack damage, defence, health, speed, and magic. They're plenty of missions to do and bosses to fight. This game really keeps you entertained with its comedy, music and fighting. You can also unlock new characters by beating arenas and completing the game with all the different knights, including the ones you unlock through arenas.

Overall Castle Crashers is really fun to play with friends, Online or offline. The characters and designs are great to look at and the music will stick in your head. I would give this game 9/10 - the only reason it isn't a 10/10 is that once you have all the characters and levelled them up it isn't that good when playing on your own. It takes a while to level up your character fully.
