Castle Aetna Excursions offers a few sightseeing options in Sicily. One of these included Sicily's active volcano of Mount Aetna and the beautiful, ancient places of Taormina and Isola Bella all in a day.

The day excursion is enjoyable and comfortable. Guides, Davide and Paola, are easy-going and helpful. Paola is very knowledgeable and passionate about Catania and Mount Aetna. She clearly loves the place she was born in. Davide does not speak much English but is very helpful with all other things and anticipates his guests' every need.
The Mount Aetna section of the trip is exciting and the longest. It takes more than half of the trip and involves hiking up and down one of the volcano's craters.
Taormina can be extremely crowded, depending on the time of the year. The European school summer break is obviously one to avoid, if possible. The Taormina part of the trip happens at around two in the afternoon, sans lunch, so a nice meal in a restaurant would be tempting. It would mean that only an hour, or less, would be left to view this beautiful place and its sights. A quick sandwich or pizza is advisable instead.
Isola Bella is very pretty. Although people swim in the area, the beach is rocky and is not pleasant to navigate. Again, stay in Isola Bella is only for a limited time, which does not leave enough time to go swimming or sunning.
