Smashed meringue, boysenberry ice cream and a whole heap of cherries. Worth every calorie!

The meringue is not smashed. It's soft and probably made as a massive sheet and cut out with a cookie cutter. Heavy handed on the cherries and way too much syrup. I highly doubt the syrup is made on site. In all likelihood it's come straight out of a tin, and could do with way less that what is served. You literally drown in it to the point that it's the only thing you can taste. I would pass on this dessert. It's a 5/10 at best. I'd wait for the Lion's Hotel at Melbourne Central to bring back their Eton Mess if you want to try something delicious and balanced
