A takeaway shop which goes the extra mile
Cass Kiosk is a takeaway food outlet located near the car park at One Mile Beach, Port Stephens. It is owned and run by the popular Ingenia Holidays One Mile Beach tourist park, which is located next door. This colourful kiosk is loved by locals and tourists alike, as it is a convenient spot to pick up an ice-cream for the kids, a healthy breakfast smoothie, a burger for lunch or a box of hot chips to share on the beach. It also has a small supplies area for people staying at the tourist park, in case they run out of essentials.

My family and I always grab something from Cass Kiosk when we visit One Mile Beach - either on the way to have a swim or on the way back to have in the car on the way home. On our last visit we turned up early on a Saturday morning, placed our order, waited for our ticket to be called and then enjoyed a tasty (second!) breakfast down on the sand...

Each time we have visited this kiosk, we have never been disappointed with the food, drinks or coffees. In particular, I always order the Smashed Avocado on Toast with Feta (for $11), as it is particularly flavoursome - especially when you squeeze the fresh lemon over the top.

There are a couple of things to note when visiting this kiosk. Firstly, when you arrive at this venue, don't be put off by the crowds or by the long line. The service is quick, so you don't have to wait too long to order or to wait for your number to be called. There is a speaker system which makes the pick-up system easier, particularly on hot summer days when the crowds spill out onto the car park. Also, take note of the meal times, so you don't miss the window of your favourite food item. Breakfast is between 7am - 10:30am, Lunch is 11:30am - 2:30pm and Dinner is 5pm - 7:30pm (during peak times only). They also have an All Day Menu - click on the photo below for full details.

It's a busy spot, but the service is quick!

Ingenia Holidays tourist park next door is a popular venue for holiday-makers who like to go back to the same park, year after year. There is a real family-friendly "locals vibe" about the park and the kiosk, as everyone seems to know each other, as they stand around waiting for their meals and having a chat. Also out the front of the kiosk is the Port Stephens Surf School and next door is The One Mile Collective pop up gift shop, so you can pick up a locally-made treasure from your holiday.

Why don't you grab your beach towel and pick up breakfast at Cass Kiosk, this weekend? My family may see you in the queue!
