Casper Jack is
Shauna Willett 's latest exhibition although her first in Western Australia. Shauna has been an Interior Designer for over 15 years working on a range of projects residential and commercial in the eastern states and Far North Queensland.
Her pieces for this exhibition are a series of photographic works that portray a spiritual connection between historical architecture and architectural details such as a Victorian gate or sculpture and landscapes and places of being.
The images are a translation of her architectural/design background and explorations of nature. Her works embody and illustrate both structural function and aesthetic embellishment. She is particularly interested in capturing the tactile nature of buildings and nature.
After relocating to Perth a couple of years ago she has just moved to Guildford 3 months ago after falling in love with the area. The family have bought a house and are currently restoring it to its 1907 Edwardian glory.
"As an artist I am currently doing a post grad through Curtin University studying Visual Arts (Fine Art and Visual Culture) and am particularly interested in photo manipulation and printing as well as oils," says Shauna.
The upcoming exhibition
Casper Jack is a collaborative exhibition with another local artist Ivan Green.
Casper Jack is to be held at the Midland Junction Arts Centre starting from 28th of March to the 14th April.
