Casey Donovan displays her amazing vocal talent at The Regal
Relatively new on the entertainment scene, Roulette shows has been busy building a reputation of putting on dazzling and refined productions fitting for the esteemed setting that is the Regal Theatre. With the likes of Ronda Burchmore, Todd McKenny and Marina Prior gracing their stages, Roulette embodies everything which is classy and sophisticated entertainment.
So, having come out of the gates with such a strong line up it makes perfect sense that the next to step up to the plate is none other than the incomparable and undeniable talent which is Casey Donovan.
Coming off terrific performances in both the musical, Chicago as well as Eurovision Australia Decides, Donovan has come into a new strength of a soulful and powerful Blues and Ballard's singer. With COVID having stopped any further shows Casey has been showcasing her talents through social media with her Bluesday Tuesday Chill Sessions, sharing her amazing voice with the world during these hard times. With the help of Roulette shows and the Regal Theatre, Casey is now able to get back in front of a live audience and demonstrate just how unbelievable she is.
Bluesday @ The Regal is an intimate and tender affair. Casey shares a number of melancholic yet passionate pieces with the audience with a number of more upbeat melodies dispersed in between. It's very personal and will tug at your heartstrings. Sharing tales of her life, coming into the spotlight, finding herself and her confidence, Casey opens up to her audience. With a few jokes thrown in between songs, she keeps the mood light-hearted despite the heavy nature of the lyrics themselves. The atmosphere is casual and devil-may-care, and it all comes together to create a scene where Casey isn't a singer performing to an audience but instead a woman sharing with friends and acquaintances.
And what makes all this oh so amazing is the depth of Donovan's abilities. With the setting and acoustics of The Regal, Casey can really let loose and show off the range and intricacies of her vocal talent. The highs are in the stratosphere and the lows in the depths of the ocean. From Blues, to Soul, to Jazz, to Pop. There is no limit to what Casey can achieve with her expansive vocal power. For lack of a better word, Casey takes you on a musical journey that will have you whist away as if in a dream. Casey has proven herself to be stronger than ever and things only look brighter from here.
We've only just passed the first quarter of 2021 and Roulette shows are displaying no signs of slowing down.
