Casa Bianchi is one of those places you have driven past a million times and not realised it is there, hopefully it wasn't just me! Before we walked in, I was told to expect to feel like I was back in Thailand even though the name suggested otherwise. To me, I think lots of plants and ponds with lots of koi fish swimming around and that's exactly what I saw.

We took a walk around, gosh its big, and then we took a seat and had a look at the menu. It's a big menu, literally!

My attention was initially drawn to the Potato Eggs ($21.80) because it sounded like quite the sizable dish and I was hungry! The other dish I liked the sound of was the Salmon Toast ($19.80) as it sounded like an interesting dish but the fact that there were no eggs on the dish, made me sway towards the Potato Eggs. I ordered a Long Black to wash down my breakfast. Mr. M recommended Casa Bianchi so he had a dish picked before we ordered. He ordered the Avocado Smash ($22.80) as he had the dish before and enjoyed it.

Coffee arrived after about ten minutes, the blend was nice and quite strong. It was perfect! Both coffees were finished by the time food arrived, it took about 20minutes to arrive to the table. Mr. M had been here before as mentioned previously, and said that service is usually a lot quicker so I hope to return and see this myself someday soon.

Both dishes arrived together which is always a plus in my books. My dish was rather large and a little bit busier than I expected, I was hungry so no complaints from me!

The poached eggs were well poached and sat upon a mound of well seasoned potato mash. I couldn't quite pick out the particular seasoning that added spice to the mash but I liked it as it literally spiced the potatoes up. There was a small portion of undressed spinach which had a light sprinkle of parmesan over the top of the dish.

My dish was finished off with slices of bacon, they were quite oily from the cooking process but tasty. I think I would order this dish again!

Mr. M had his dish on a previous occasion so he knew what he was getting and knew that he would enjoy it. I would guess that I had about a third of my dish eaten, looked at his plate and it was clean. I was wondering if he was a fast eater or if all the chatting was making me a slow eater.

Anyway, Mr. M's dish was very like mine except the mash on my dish was substituted by avocado on his dish. I noticed both poached eggs oozed as they were pierced, again, that is always a tick in my books.

Due to the cleanliness of Mr. M's plate, it's safe to say that Mr. M thoroughly enjoyed his dish and I'm sure he will order it again.

***Tip: Visit an ATM before you go, Casa Bianchi only accepts cash.
