Melbourne loves its art based activities, and carving is one of them. Stone and limestone carving classes are available through Jenny Whiteside at her McKinnon and Bulleen studios. Jenny has been teaching for a while; to the point where her next classes aren't available until March 2012 at this stage, and at the time of writing this. Her classes are designed to suit all levels, and refreshments are included. The course fee also include a limestone to sculpt. The awards she has received in this field is quite extensive. This carving course is top notch and unique in Melbourne.

If you are into more of a social club experience, and are more interested in carving wood than limestone or sculpture; then the Waverley Woodworking Club at Mount Waverley is also worthy of your consideration where they run short courses on this.
