was opened on 1 August 1882, and is a premium station on the Frankston Line.


As a Premium Station it is staffed from first train to the last and has the luxury of open public amenities during those hours. Travel time from the city is approximately an 1 hour and 10 minutes depending on the number of stops that the train has to make.

Carrum Station has 207 car parks in a designated rail parking area. It also has four bicycle racks and ten bicycle lockers for cyclists.

This station is also serviced by the following bus routes: [b]Route 708[/b] from Hampton, [b]Route 780[/b] on the Frankston to Carrum route and finally via the [b]Route 857[/b] on the Chelsea to Dandenong bus route.

Places near by worth visiting are:

On the west side of the beach is only 200 metre away. On the same side there is also the TRAX 627 Restaurant Bar if you are in need of food or refreshment before or after your visit to the beach.

On the opposite of the railway line on the Station Street side there is The Coffee Kiss .

A bit further a field there is also the Patterson Lakes Shopping Centre that can be reached via [b]Bus Route 708[/b], which can be caught from the Mcleod Rd Bus Stop opposite Aldi's Supermarket going towards Hampton. It's about a 10 minute journey once you catch the bus, which leaves approximately every 30 minutes.

The last bus returning from Patterson Lakes Shopping Centre during the week is just after 9.30pm which need to keep in mind if you are eating out at any of the fantastic restaurants there such as:
