As a Premium Station it is staffed from first train to the last and has the luxury of open public amenities during those hours. Travel time from the city is approximately an 1 hour and 10 minutes depending on the number of stops that the train has to make.

On the west side of Carrum Railway Station the beach is only 200 metre away. On the same side there is also the TRAX 627 Restaurant Bar if you are in need of food or refreshment before or after your visit to the beach.

A bit further a field there is also the Patterson Lakes Shopping Centre that can be reached via Bus Route 708, which can be caught from the Mcleod Rd Bus Stop opposite Aldi's Supermarket going towards Hampton. It's about a 10 minute journey once you catch the bus, which leaves approximately every 30 minutes.
