is located in Wahroonga and is little more than a long field that's used as a venue for local sports clubs. Cricket is played here in summer, and soccer in winter.

Other than this oval, there's not much else to draw people to the park. There are some seats around the edge for spectators and a set of toilets, but really these still cater for visitors coming here for sport.

Even as a sportsground is not a perfect park; the grass is worn away in quite a few places and the toilet block is covered in graffiti (I didn't go inside). Over the other side of the trees is the M1, which provides a constant background noise. But sometimes all you need is a place to run around.

If you were to follow Coonanbarra Road in the direction of the local train station, over the other side of Junction Road, you would find Wahroonga Park , which is probably more appealing for casual visitors. It's a beautiful picnic spot with plenty of equipment for children. A great sportsground in Wahroonga is The Glade .

Other nearby parks include Cliff Oval and Golden Jubilee Field in North Wahroonga and a whole cluster down the end of Junction Road, which includes Claude Cameron Grove , Eldinhope Green and Cherrywood Reserve.
