Children are invited to participate in the Nativity Pageant at the Red Hill Carols on the Hill festival this year. Recreate the meaning of Christmas through this interactive, spiritual presentation and help spread the message of peace on earth and goodwill to all set to a soundtrack of familiar carols and songs.
The entire community will enjoy the spectacle and pageantry of the Nativity. Arrive at 5pm for a 5.30pm start. The program commences with the children's Nativity and kids are asked to dress up in the costumes provided, and there will be Alpacas masquerading as camels to add a touch of authenticity to the re-enactment of the Christmas Story.
Leading the carols this year are the Mornington Youth and Citizens Band, along with local guest choirs and solo artists. Come together with friends and people from the wider community, throw down a rug and sing along to a selection of traditional carols and all your favourite Christmas songs.
There will be a sausage sizzle, coffee van and drinks available to purchase on the night, but you are more than welcome to bring along a hamper and create your own festive feast. This event requires a BYO chair and picnic blanket.
This is the 11th annual Carols on the Hill present by St George's Anglican Church and for many local families Christmas just wouldn't be the same without this annual gathering.
Carols on the Hill is being held this year on Saturday 10th December 2016 from 5pm to 7.30pm at the Red Hill Recreation Reserve, (In the Pavilion) Arthurs Seat Road, Red Hill. Entry to Carols on the Hill is free.
