Each year at Christmas, the Canterbury Council organises an annual festive event. It is a glorious event which brings members of the local communities together. Every year communities from the surrounding suburbs go to the Wiley Park Amphitheatre, corner King Georges Road and Canterbury Road from 6pm-9pm. This year it will be held on the 4th of December a Sunday, which is a perfect day for happiness and joy.
At the event, you will experience a range of different forms of entertainment, including Santa Claus himself, Christmas Carols, prize giveaways as well as the Fireworks Finale. Santa Claus will make a guest appearance for the kids and join in with the well known Christmas songs which will be sung along with your fellow residents, including Silent Night and Jingle Bells. At the end of the event, a countdown will begin for the Fireworks Finale.
Each and every year, more than 5000 spectators and residents attend the event making it a fun and memorable occasion. There will be plenty of Christmas merchandise to purchase such as Santa Hats and glowsticks. Food and drinks are also available for purchase.
