Free carols with colour throwing at 3 Brisbane locations
One of the hallmarks of Christmas has always been colour; Yuletide in Brisbane brings us a colourful explosion of decorations, lights and events each year. You only have to check out our WeekendNotes Christmas listings to find a colourful Christmas event near you. But for something really unique, something that combines the age old tradition of Christmas Carolling with all the fun and vibrancy of a colour run, you'll have to head to Westfield Carindale on Friday 18 December, Westfield Garden City on Saturday 19 December or Westfield Chermside on Sunday 20 December for Carols in Colour.
At these special FREE family events you can celebrate with packets of glorious colour and carols concerts that will have something for everyone. How does break-dancing elves, a live carols band with a backing choir, a special appearance by the jolly fat man in red, and coordinated colour blasts every 15 minutes sound to you? If that's not enough to convince you then check out all the fun that was had at last year's inaugural Carols in Colour in the video below.
It is free to attend and participate in Carols in Colour but you must register online. And you don't even have to purchase your own packets of coloured powder. All registered participants will be given two FREE colour packets on the day, but it would be best to register ASAP because supplies of colour packets are strictly limited. Make sure you dress in white or something light so all that colour can really make an impact when you toss it into the sky at the crescendos of your very favourite Christmas carols and songs.
Registered participants will be able to collect their colour packets on the event day, once they have checked in and received their wristbands to allow entry to the Colour Zone.
Details for each event follow. Full information about the event, the colour powder used and any restrictions and requirements are outlined on each registration page.
