Trees adorned with lights and baubles are emerging and shop windows are heralding the festive season. Whether you're ready or not, it's time to pull your head out of the sand and there's no better place to do it than Watsons Bay Beach. Yes, Christmas is just around the corner and to ease you into the festivities, Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel and Woollahra Council are planning something special.
Carols by the Bay will be held at Watsons Bay Beach on Wednesday, 26 November from 4pm. This event promises to be a festive community celebration where you'll have the opportunity to enjoy some of your favourite carols, watch special dance and rock band performances from Vaucluse Public School, the Royal Australian Navy Band, local community choirs and a very special guest (watch this space for further information)!
The special guest of honour will be Toni Zeltzer, Mayor of Woollahra, and there may even be a visit from Santa who is rumoured to have changed his name to Sandy Claus and swapped his sleigh for a speed boat for this very special Aussie Christmas event!
So, gather your family and friends, put on your festive footwear ('tis the season for thongs), bring your picnic chairs and rugs and come along to celebrate with carols, candle lighting and other entertainment.
Pick up a kids' meal box and cool drinks from the Watsons Bay Hotel pop-up lemonade stand and leave enough room in your tummy for a treat from the Gelatissimo cart and candy canes that will be available on the night.
